Our brewery started with a home kit, the kitchen stove and some always keen tasters, this progressed to an urn and a cooler box.
The results were tasty, which developed into a passion and a need to perfect the recipe.
Two years on and we find ourselves in a stunning factory, with shiny stainless steel equipment gathered from around South Africa.
Our brewery, in Durban North, has a capacity of 500 litres per batch and we currently have two favourites, Hot Blonde and an Amber Jack.
The Hot Blonde is one of the most approachable styles, our golden or blonde ale is an easy-drinking beer that is visually appealing and has no particularly dominating malt or hop characteristics. Rounded and smooth, known for its simplicity. Sometimes referred to as “golden ale.” This beer is perfect for Durban climates.
The Amber Jack is darker in colour and has a caramel flavour and more hop aromatics, and may have more body than other amber ales. Our Amber goes really well with a true South African Braai.
These beers are available at many Spar Tops stores in KZN and many of your favourite restaurant are now serving our beers either on tap or in our unique 660ml bottle, making it the perfect sharing size. We can also be found at a couple of the local markets, with our beer on tap and ice cold for your enjoyment.
Our brewer, Scott, a true beer lover, brews beers for easy drinking and enjoyment. Fresh and full of goodness.
